I’ve decided if anyone ever asks me again “what is depth of field?” I’m just showing them this photo.

*a quick note: My settings for this one was 100 iso; f 2.2 ; 1/640 shutter.  If I had used a higher f-stop, the photo wouldn’t have gotten so fuzzy so fast and if I would have used a lower f-stop, the photo would have had even less in focus.  The focus for this one is on the foremost flowers and anything that is not on the same plane as those flowers will quickly fade out of focus depending on how close they are to that plane.  Increasing your f-stop to a higher value increases the depth of the plane that stays in focus.

Word to your mother.

Another adorable scene from Kids Space. A little harvest sign in the middle of the childrens garden.  (TRA’s rusty cage photoshop action was run on this photo incase you were wondering about the orange-y effect.)
